Worried Dork Present and Accounted For
OK, So I'm a dork. I have been sitting here watching the special on the NatGeo Channel about the Darwin and the Galapagos Islands. I know that watching things like this doesn't necessarily make one a dork but this is probably the 6th time I have watched it. For whatever reason, I really enjoy it. I like the blue-footed boobies. No, NOT those kind of boobies. They are birds that live in the Galapagos Islands. There are several shows that I enjoy watching and there are certain types of shows I enjoy. The biggest problem is being able to watch in the first place. It is usually monopolized by the kids (or Corey, at least) and used for playing video games. I admit, I sometimes like to play games, but I can tell you that the boys always laugh at me because I don't have the same amunt of hand-eye coordination as them and as a result I am not as skilled as them when playing the games.
The TV and DirectTV seem to be the only thing working right around here tonight. The Internet sure isn't working worth a crap. I think I might be better off with dial-up tonight. Maybe it is just the University of Phoenix's web site. Either way, it is aggravating. This site seems to be OK and so does Facebook. I conclude that the UoP website sucks tonight.
So, you ask, what's there to be worried about? LOTS! (At least I say so.) Tomorrow I have to take Corey to the ortho doc to have his knee looked at. I am hoping it is just a strain or sprain and nothing more serious. I am worried though because of the injury from 7th grade and the fact that he says it has been hurting off and on since then. Tuesday, I have a Dr appointment with Dr Foreman at Crestwood. I have to shell out some moolah at both places. Corey's doctor visit should only be 30 bucks or so. Mine is going to be at least $225. I can get the money but I am worried about the costs for this entire program. In addition to the $225 I have to pay this week, there is still another $300-$500 more plus whatever I have to pay for the surgery. This could be another pretty good chunk of change since BCBS Insurance only pays 80% of the costs. Blue Cross is good for some things but they really suck for others. We had to buy some school supplies, clothes, and shoes today so we are are somewhere between $250 and $300 poorer. I still have to pay the truck payment too, $400. Oh yeah, time to pay Joe Wheeler... $200+ I am sure. Oh, wait... I need gas in my truck too. Does it ever end? In my opinion... Nope! Somebody I don't know needs to keel over and leave me some money. I can at least wish anyway.
Oh well. Later
