More "Yummy" Food, The Office, and Weather

Tuesday.  What an uneventful day.

I am trying the diet thing again and it is terrible as usual.  It is time to do something.  I have to get my weight under control.  I am at a point that I have never been at and I am miserable.  I had gotten into the habit of getting a tenderloin, egg, and cheese biscuit from Hartselle Exxon.  They are so good but I am sure they are really bad for you too.  We bought some Eggo bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit scramblers for me to eat for breakfast instead.  Surprisingly, the biscuit portion is pretty good.  Unfortunately it is more cheese goo than eggs and bacon though.  If you know me, you know I am not a big cheese fan and this cheese goo is exceptionally unappealing to me.  Give me some bacon!  Obviously, I will have to explore other breakfast options.  Lunch has been equally lack-luster.  For the past two days it has been a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with sour cream and onion chips and a V-8 Juice.  How exciting.  Not!  Again, I will have to explore more options.  Supper was MUCH better!  Wendy's style taco salad.  I made a pot of chili, diced couple of tomatoes, cut up a couple of green onions, and set out the condiments.  Tortilla chips, salad green, chili, tomatoes, green onions, sour cream, black olives, and jalapenos.  Yum Yum!!! Yeah, I know, it isn't exactly diet food but I believe that good food is a necessity in life.

Work was really uneventful today.  I did manage to clean my office up a little.  I found the top of the desk and I got most of the electronic stuff out of the floor and out of the way for the most part.  There are still things that need attention and projects that need to be done but there's always tomorrow.  Of course there are always a million things that need to be done; systems to be checked, servers to check, software to be patched, and the list goes on.  The old adage "there is never a dull moment" usually doesn't hold true but it isn't too bad most of the time.  Now if I could just teach some of the users a few things...

I heard this nasty rumor from the National Weather Service that we have a chance of storms tomorrow.  Personally, I really wish it wouldn't rain tomorrow.  I know we need the rain but I really really don't like the rain.  Normally, I like thunderstorms.  I enjoy watching the lightning and sometimes the sound of the rain and thunder is really soothing.  Right now though, I still have not gotten over the April 27th storms.  I didn't have any damage but mentally and physically it just wiped me out.  Four days without power, long days, a week in Cordova, and just everything else that was a part of that entire event was a lot to deal with.  I can only imagine the stress and fatigue experienced by those with jobs and responsibilities similar to mine that were in areas with massive devastation.  For some, the effects will last for many years to come.

Tomorrow is another day.  It is 'Hump Day" though which means the week is on the down-hill slide to the weekend.  Maybe some more progress in the office and hopefully can take care of a few other things that need some attention.  For now though, it's time for bed.

Good Night.
